I love having kids! It makes gifts for mine and John’s parents so much easier! Just give them something super cute from the kids. And what is cuter than little hand and footprint art for the grandparents.
While I could just give regular prints, I thought it would be cute to give themed prints. I ended up giving our parents turkey handprints and then these adorable mistleTOE footprints.

I love this project because it’s the perfect decor for my gallery wall for the holidays!
Mistletoe Footprint Art for Grandparents
These are super easy to make and you only need a few supplies to get it done: paint and cardstock.
If you have a squirmy baby or toddler, I find putting them in the high chair for painting their feet the easiest. This way they can’t squirm away from you!
Just paint their foot, put the paper up to their foot, and make sure to smoosh their foot down firmly to apply the paint.
If you have an older toddler or child, you can just put the paper on the floor and have them gently step onto the paper. Again make sure to firmly push on their foot and help guide them onto the paper and then lift up.
Try not to move their foot around once you get it on the paper so as not to smear the paint. You can angle the heels together slightly so it looks like hanging leaves.
Once you have the footprints, you can add the leaves. Make sure the toes are pointed down.
Add leaves above the heels of the footprints. Make sure that they are pointy and extend to the edges of the footprints. You also need to add red berries in between the leaves.
Now all you need to do is write your child’s name and the date! Perfect gift and also perfect for displaying in your home during the holidays.

Notes
If your children are really young, I suggest putting them in the highchair for clean footprints. If they're older you have have them stand on the paper.
If you have a frame in mind that you want to use, make a template to make sure you have everything in the frame.
