I hate throwing things away. Especially if it’s something my kids made. My children are too young for pumpkin carving, so we’ve been painting them instead.
Last year, Halloween came and went, and I kept the pumpkins on my mantel. I just could throw them away!
I kept saying once I started decorating for Christmas, I’d get rid of them. But I really wanted to breathe some new life into them. I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye.
Now I know, they’re just pumpkins. It’s only one of many many artworks that my kids will make. But I still got attached.
We drove out to Tucson for Thanksgiving, and I took the pumpkins with us. I knew I could use them on our Thanksgiving table. I wanted to show them off and have some pretty decor.
