John and I handmade so many items for Bug’s lumberjack birthday party that it couldn’t all fit in one post! I showed you a little bit of the decor in my last post about his lumberjack birthday party. I wanted to show you a little more of the decoration that we made for his party and also give you access to some free lumberjack birthday party printables!

At the beginning of the year, when I wrote about our goals, I mentioned that I had been listening to Dave Ramsey and we’d been trying to stick to a budget. Because of this, we decided to reevaluate our Christmas gifts for 2016. We put together a budget for every person on our list in Google Spreadsheets with what we wanted to get and then the actual amount we spent. We looked for deals and tried our hardest to stay under budget. But for ourselves, we wanted to do something different.
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! I don’t know about you, but after the holidays I have a hard time getting back into the groove of things. This year, John and I took a week off in between Christmas and New Years. We went out to the river, spent some time working on things for our new Etsy shop, but mostly, we just relaxed. We played with all of Bugs new Christmas toys, explored the textures and shapes of different rocks, and enjoyed having nowhere to be and nothing to do. It was magical.
Can you even believe that 2017 is almost here?! 2016 just flew by. It’s only a few short days until 2017 will be here and I’m on the hunt for the perfect calendar. Sure, I use online calendars, but there’s something about penciling in information that I need! So I still use a regular ol’ paper calendar stuck to my fridge.
I just love printables! I’m always on the prowl for good ones that will help make my life just a little bit easier. And if I can’t find them then I make them myself. After making the “Open When” letters for my sister, I decided that I should really make a printable so that I could use them again in the future. This is a fun open when printable that can be used for so many occasions!
