Best Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Sharing is caring!

For stocking stuffers I like to get things that will last a while and are hot commodities in our house! So here is my list of the best stocking stuffer ideas.

My idea of the best stocking stuffers are things that will actually be used. Sure there are some cute things that are sold in dollar sections, but likely those will be lost or broken before the end of the day.

But that doesn’t mean that they have to cost a lot of money. Think of items that come 2 or more to a pack. You can break the pack up among multiple kids and won’t have to buy individuals of every item.

Best Stocking Stuffer Ideas

1. Magnetic Figures

Did you know that they sell magnetic people for Magnatiles? I had no idea! My kids love playing with Magnatiles and we currently use Little People or action figures in their Magnatile creations, which would also make great stocking stuffers.

I bought one pack of these magnetic people to split between their stockings this year and I know it will be an instant hit!

2. Dry Erase Books

My kids love everything dry erase. I don’t know why, but they’ll spend way more time tracing and drawing with dry erase then with any other marker.

These dry erase books are perfect for the car too as they’re self contained. We have a few tracing ones, a workbook, and this super cute Frozen one as well.

I also bought these dry erase crayons. I’m hoping they will love them as much as the markers. My daughter likes to hit the markers on the table and breaks them. So hopefully these crayons will last longer.

3. Art Supplies

We always need more art supplies. Paper, markers, dot markers, paint brushes. You can’t go wrong with any of these supplies! Bonus, you can buy one pack and split them up between multiple kids.

4. Bath Colors

My kids love to take color baths and bubble baths. Target had some individual packs of these fun bath colors.

We usually use just straight food coloring, but I bought these because they seem less messy. They even have all natural ones!

5. Card Games

I love including fun games for the kids in their stockings. Card games are the perfect size too! If you’re looking to gift other games, be sure to check out my best games for toddlers and preschoolers list!

6. Paint By Stickers

These might be a little too complicated for my kids, but everyone loves stickers! I think this would be such a fun activity for a car ride or doctors office.

Bonus: Stocking Stuffers for Adults

I don’t know if you do stocking stuffers for adults in your family, but we do in ours. Santa always brings a little something for everyone. Here are some of my favorite items for adults.

Underwear – these are boring to buy and are expensive, which you think would make them a horrible gift. But I always love seeing cute undies in my stocking. It’s one less thing I’ll have to buy for myself!

Razors – Same thing as undies. It’s something that is used all the time. If they don’t use disposable razors, find their razor head and get a pack of those.

Special Candies – My husband loves Reece’s, so I always slip a couple into his stocking.

Card games – These make great stocking stuffers for adults and kids alike! This Five Crowns game is one of our recent favs.

Pens – A nice set of pens is not going to be side eyed, especially if they have kids. Mine are always taking my good pens and it’s a thing I’m always forgetting we need when we go to the store.

Gift Cards – If you’re feeling especially giving, gift cards make a great choice for stocking stuffers.

Masks and Hand Sanitizers – let’s just embrace 2020! I’m sure we’re going to need both of these items going into 2021 as well. These items will make great stocking stuffers for kids and adults alike.

I hope that this list has given you some great ideas for stocking stuffers! What are your go to stocking stuffers?
