I’m officially in the third trimester. Every week I take a weekly bump photo to track my bumps progress. I did this with Bugs too. This picture was taken last week, but I am officially 28 weeks and in my third trimester. I’m really starting to feel it. I’m starting to feel big and anxious! It’s definitely different this time around, taking care of a toddler and being pregnant. I thought I was tired during my last pregnancy! Now, I’m definitely exhausted. But it’s so much fun taking care of a toddler, even if I’m super tired most days.
Weekly Bump Photo
I’m starting to stress about all the things that need to get done and my bump is definitely getting big! This week, I spent some time washing some of the little baby clothes we’ve been gifted and bought and finding places for them. I’ve got a lot of rearranging to do in my small 2 bedroom house still to make room for a second kid. But I’m super excited to finally meet her. We also booked our photographer last week for maternity and newborn photos! I’m super excited about booking her and can’t wait to share the photos with you because I’m sure they are going to be amazing.
We also found out this past week that I have Gestational Diabetes. I went in for my two-hour glucose test and my number for the second hour was high. My younger sister has had Type 1 diabetes her entire life. So I’m pretty familiar with what this all means, the diet, the blood testing, the worry. I went to a class on Thursday where they gave me a meter and told me about what gestational diabetes is and all about the diet. We went shopping on Friday and have a whole new meal plan going forward. I’ll try to share some of my meals on the blog.
In the meantime, here’s a Google Sheet I created for tracking all my meals and blood sugars for the week. I find this to be easier than writing it all down on a printable, but I’ll have a pretty printable for you next week too! To use the Google Sheet yourself, just make a copy of the sheet and then you can track all your own information!
