This weeks theme for my Project 52 was “Love”. Since Valentine’s day was on Saturday, I figured love would be the perfect theme for this week. While my husband and I aren’t big on the date, its still a holiday and I just love holidays! Since my whole goal with this project is to take pictures of things that I wouldn’t normally take pictures of and things that mean something to me I thought very hard about what I love and what I wanted to photograph this week.
While my husband and I don’t normally celebrate, we usually use Valentine’s day as an excuse to make a good meal. You see, I love good food. My husband and I have a joke that its the only time I’m willing to spend money. I tend to be pretty frugal, but when it comes to good food, I will “loosen the purse strings”. He is normally the one to cook dinners, because if I’m going to cook it can’t just be a simple meal. But desserts are my sweet spot (pun intended).
This week, while trying to decide what I would make us, I had been watching Food Network and saw Anne Burrell make these deliciously, easy Palmiers. I knew I had to make them for my hubby for Valentine’s (and for myself, let’s be honest). They are heart shaped and cinnamon sugar goodness. I decided that this should be my photo for the week because of my love for food, because I definitely want to make them again, and I wanted to share them with all of you. Enjoy!
This part of an ongoing project, where I will be posting one a week. You can see all my posts for my 2015 Project 52 here.
