Today I’m going to give you some ideas one what to wear to your maternity session. I absolutely love maternity sessions. They are probably my second favorite behind cake smashes. I love these photo shoots because they capture a moment in time that you can never go back to. You’ll never be that family of two or three or four again, the whole world is about to change and your just right on the precipice. That’s pretty amazing. Also, there is just something about a mother’s love and that beautiful belly that makes these types of sessions so special. So what is the best way to show off that fabulous bump? Check below for some great outfit ideas.
If you have been following me on social media, or read my blog at all, you have probably seen my spoiled pup, Sydney Fyfe. She is basically like my husband and my child; we spoil her rotten. She has had some health issues and so we can’t give her all the treats that she would want. So instead of treats, we normally buy her toys. She has more toys than any dog should have. Not only does she have about 20-30 toys at our house (not an exaggeration at all), she also has about 15 at my parents house, because we take her over there frequently.
I’ve mentioned in blog posts before that I deliver your pictures to you via digital download through a site called Pixieset. This means absolutely nothing to you because you have never seen a gallery through the site! So for all you know it could be really difficult to view your gallery and download your pictures once they are ready. I use Pixieset because it is super easy to view your gallery and download your pictures, and you can easily share your photos to Facebook. But instead of having you take my word for how easy this site is to use, I thought I would write a blog post and show you how easy it is to use!
I explained in my last blog post that I sort of stumbled into the business realm of photography. But photography has always been a love of mine. I received my first DSLR when I was 15 years old and wanted to learn everything about it. I’ve always wanted to preserve memories and have always been the one snapping pictures at all of our family functions. I’m the first one to try to gather my family together for selfies and portraits and try to document life! Continue reading “Why I Love Photography”
I wanted to share with you today the story of how I became a photographer. I never really planned on becoming a photographer, in the business sense. I never planned at making money doing this. I just kind of stumbled upon it. I always thought I would be some business person, working a regular 8-5 job, maybe wear a suit to the office or something like that. I’ve never had the perfect vision of what I wanted to do. My sophomore year of high school my mom bought me a DSLR and I started playing around with it. I’ve always been into documenting life, I think its important to have things to look back on as you age. But I never thought I would make money, I just wanted to be able to document my life. After high school, I went to college and just continued to document my life with my camera. After I graduated, my dad also got into DSLR and found a night class for us to learn more about the camera.
This is Day 1 of the Feel Good Blogging Challenge! So happy to be here and to tell you all about me! You can learn a lot about me from my about page, but I think there is so much more that I can tell you that I didn’t cover in my about. I have many hobbies and roles that I play in life, and I want to give you a glimpse into some of those things. But most days there just aren’t enough hours in the day to finish all we set out to accomplish! I know you sometimes feel exactly the same way! You look at the clock and think about all the many things that you didn’t get accomplished today and then have to prioritize all the things you must accomplish before bed, knowing that there will still be so much to do tomorrow. It is so easy to get lost in the hustle of life.
July is one of my favorite months of the entire year! It’s my birthday month and also one of my favorite holidays! 4th of July is definitely a close second to Christmas. I love the community that 4th of July promotes! I also love the firework, the all-American feel of summer, and the smell of bbq cooking. My family always has a big swim party for the 4th with all of our family and friends and that’s probably the main reason why it is one of my favorite holidays.
Father’s Day is quickly approaching! Do you know what you are getting your dad? I always find it infinitely harder to shop for my dad than it is to shop for my mom. I think guys are just harder to shop for in general. Maybe its because I’m a girl and just don’t totally get all the things boys like. Or maybe my dad is just hard to shop for. My dad doesn’t like a lot of frills, and I could never buy him tools because he has too many to begin with. So I usually try to keep it simple with him, and what’s simpler than gifting your dad something that has pictures of his favorite people!
A few weeks ago was the Camarillo Mud Run. My husband, John, has been super into fitness since two years ago when he started the paleo diet and running everyday to help him lose weight. As soon as he heard about the Camarillo Mud Run he was so excited! Now he knows better, and knows that this is not my cup of tea, so he never asked me to do it. I could get over the running (although I’m not a runner) and could even do some of the obstacles, but mud is not for me. He had heard about the run through one of his coworkers and so he got a bunch of them together to do the run. I decided to come along to watch him run and to take some pictures!
I think you can learn a lot about a person by what they carry around with them on a daily basis. I think that’s why some people guard their purses. I’ve never been bothered when someone goes into my purse to get something, although it will probably take them a while to find whatever they are looking for! My husband has completely stopped trying to find things in my purse, he doesn’t understand how I can locate things in there! So today I thought I would give you a glimpse into the things that I carry with me on a daily basis.
