Why You Should Print Your Photos

Why you should print your photos

I know that there are a bunch of reasons why you should print your pictures. Most people will tell you horror stories about how their laptop exploded or they dropped their phone in the toilet or some combination of these two. They lost every picture and had no backup. If they had only printed out those pictures. And while this is true, you should print out your pictures in case something happens to your computer, or phone, or other storage device. I think there is a much more important reason to print out your pictures!

A bright orange box showed up on my doorstep today! I have been waiting for this package for a little while now, and I’m so excited! I am not one of those people that lets my pictures sit on my computer or phone and never does anything with them. When I was younger, I used to scrapbook, so I printed out photos all the time. And I have albums upon albums of printed out photos. But as I got older, scrapbooking became too time consuming. But I continued printing out the pictures. Why?

Because printed pictures bring me joy. It’s that simple. I think you should print out your photos to bring you joy! There is something so different about actually holding the picture in your hand. Looking through them, passing them around, and discussing times that have passed. I love walking through my house and seeing canvases and images printed and framed of all the people I love in my life.

Sure my phone wallpaper and my computer wallpaper have photos on them too, but it’s so different when I see pictures of my husband and I hanging in our home. It helps to make it our home. Especially after our move and the adjustments of life, seeing us, being happy and in love, brings me happiness and helps me to feel loved.

That’s one of the reasons I give you digital files of your pictures. They are yours and I want you to enjoy them. I want you to print them out however you can and plaster them all over your walls. I want to create something for you that you will treasure, that you will print as big as you can, that you will walk by and every time you do, you will smile because of the memories and the people who are in it. I want to help bring you joy, even if its just for a moment in the middle of your hectic life. I don’t want you to feel limited because you feel you have to print through me. I understand that hiring a professional photographer is an investment in itself, and I want you to be able to get those tangible photos any way you can to hang in your house and show off your family.

In case you were wondering where I recommend, I print through MPix or Miller’s for my professional photography, their quality is unbeatable and their shipping is pretty fast. I normally print through Shutterfly for my personal photos, they tend to have good quality, fast shipping, and they are always running deals. For canvases and other large prints, I either go through MPix or WHCC or I have printed through Costco and I love their canvases as well. For photo albums I like Shutterfly, but prefer AdoramaPix for their super high quality and tons of options for album designs and covers.

So print out your pictures! Hang them up and remember your family just as they are today. Because they are perfect, and you are perfect, and you will want to remember this moment.
